At The Grounded Art Collective, we don’t make basic tattoos. We make art you’d be proud to frame — except you wear it for life.
Right here in Syracuse, our private studio is built for people who want more: clean lines, sharp detail, and work that grabs attention without trying.
Our team brings real skill. Ven with world-class hyper-realism and dark art. Sean with bold traditional, blackwork, and fine-line precision. Moe with loud, colorful, high-energy Neo-Traditional and New School fire.
Every tattoo we make is crafted with detail that hits hard. Nothing rushed. Nothing cookie-cutter.
If you want fast and cheap, this isn’t your shop.
If you want tattoos that stand out, last long, and feel alive — welcome to The Grounded Art Collective.
Tattooing isn’t a job for us. It’s craft. It’s focus. It’s something you’ll carry forever.
We pour everything into each piece so it fits you and only you.
Here’s what we stand for:
Three artists. Three strengths. One standard: top-tier.
Ven: hyper-realism, dark arts, XL black-and-grey.
Sean: traditional, blackwork, fine-line, stipple.
Moe: Neo-Traditional, New School, bold color power.
No crowds. No chaos. Just a clean, focused space built so you can relax while we do elite work.
We keep leveling up — better methods, better detail, better results. Always pushing the art forward.
We’re here to raise the bar for tattoos in Syracuse — one strong, carefully built piece at a time.
This is where art meets skin. No shortcuts. No fluff. Just the good stuff.
Come see what we can create together.

Ven didn’t follow a normal path into tattooing. He grew up drawing and spent years playing piano, which taught him rhythm, control, and focus. But it was ultra-running that hardened his discipline — long races, long hours, and a mindset built on pushing past limits. That same discipline now fuels every piece he creates.
He’s an international, multi-award-winning tattoo artist known for large-scale black and grey, hyper realism, and dark arts. His attention to detail and high-impact contrast make his work stand out anywhere in the world.
Ven specializes in micro-realism and hyper-real composition — small details with massive impact. His lines stay sharp. His contrasts pop. His textures feel real enough to touch.
He also has a twist most people don’t expect: Ven is colorblind. What others might see as a weakness, he turned into an edge. He reads color by feel, creating tones that hit different and stand out because they aren’t predictable. Clients walk away with pieces that feel alive and truly one-of-a-kind.
But the art is only half of it. Ven starts every session with the person — the story, the meaning, the reason behind the tattoo. Then he builds something that fits who they are.
At The Grounded Art Collective, Ven didn’t just build a shop. He built an experience. World-class craft. Real connection. A space that inspires. Whether it’s hyper realism, dark arts, or fine micro-details, Ven creates work that lasts — and makes an impact far beyond the skin.

Sean Frazer isn’t a “regular” tattoo artist. He’s a former U.S. Marine who brings discipline, grit, and sharp focus into every tattoo he makes. He works at The Grounded Art Collective in Syracuse, NY, and his art shows the level of control that only comes from years of training and pushing himself.
Sean specializes in traditional, blackwork, fine-line, and stipple tattoos. His style is clean, bold, and very intentional. Every line has a purpose. Every shade tells a story. Nothing is random.
For Sean, tattoos aren’t just pictures. They’re legacy. He creates work that lasts for decades — clear, strong, and built to stand the test of time. Whether it’s a classic traditional flash or a detailed blackwork piece, he keeps his focus on three things: clarity, strength, and connection.
If you want a tattoo that’s solid, meaningful, and made with real skill, Sean Frazer gives you exactly that.

Moe Tartt brings real power to The Grounded Art Collective. Before tattooing, he was a Golden Gloves boxing champ. He learned focus, grit, and discipline in the ring — and now he puts that same fire into every tattoo he makes. He didn’t lose the fighter mindset. He just switched from gloves to a tattoo machine.
Moe’s style mixes American Traditional, Neo-Traditional, and New School. His work is bold, bright, and full of life. Thick lines. Strong colors. Big energy. His tattoos look like they have their own heartbeat.
He’s inspired by anime and illustrative art, and he’s always leveling up. He respects old-school flash, but he doesn’t copy it. He reinvents it. Every piece feels fresh — part classic, part modern, all Moe. Whether he’s flipping a vintage design or creating something brand new, his tattoos stand out fast. Clean. Sharp. Alive.
If you want a tattoo that lasts and makes a statement, Moe is the guy. His books fill up quick because his work speaks for itself. Reach out, grab a spot, and get something bold and built to hit hard.
